Dneprovsky Iron and Steel Works wasn’t able to reach its output target in April. The reasons haven’t changed since the year start: absence of raw materials, lack of coke and scrap.

According to the company statement, in April it produced 59.6 thousand tons of sinter less. Blast furnaces stood idle because of the lack of coke, resulting in underproduction of 45.2 thousand tons of pig iron. This led to the drop in steel output (by 40 thousand tons).

Rolled metal output totaled 3.6 thousand tons of the 4.8 thousand planned. (Ukrainian metal)
