In January-June 2015 Ukrainian companies produced 474.8 thousand tons of ferroalloys, down by 11.2% YoY.
In particular, according to the Association of Ukrainian Ferroalloy Producers, silicomanganese output decreased by 0.3%, to 384.7 thousand tons, ferromanganese production dropped by 24.3%, to 40.4 thousand tons, while ferrosilicon (45%) manufacture fell by 53.4%, to 44.4 thousand tons.
Ukraine also produced 5.3 thousand tons of metallic manganese, which was not produced in January-June 2014.
Due to the military activity in the region, the Stakhanov Ferroalloy Plant remains idle. (Ukrainian Metal)
