Metallurgprom expects steel output in June on the level of 2.2 million tons, with pig iron at 2 million and rolled metal at 1.8 million tons.
At present Alchevsk Iron and Steel Works, Donetsk Electrometallurgical Plant and Donetsk Iron and Steel Works are idle.
As of May 1, 23 out of 30 blast furnaces, 7 out of 9 open-hearth furnaces and 16 out of 21 converters were operating.
Metallurgprom’s expectations for May are 1.9 million tons of steel, 1.7 million tons of pig iron and 1.6 million tons of rolled metal. (Ukrainian metal)
