In January-September ArcelorMittal Kriviy Rih produced 4147.9 thousand tons of rolled metal, down by 0.7% YoY.
At the same time pig iron output went up by 0.5%, to 4.17 million tons, while steel manufacture decreased by 1%, to 4.71 million tons YoY.
In September the company produced 511.9 thousand tons of rolled metal, 594.2 thousand tons of steel and 524.5 thousand tons of pig iron.
According Paramjit Kahlon, acting CEO of AMKR, September became one of the most successful months since 2008, as pig iron, steel and rolled metal output increased considerably (by 11.6%, 11.3% and 7.5% YoY respectively). Thus Q3 2014 was the most successful quarter since 2008, as AMKR produced 1.5 million tons of pig iron and 1.66 million tons of steel. (Ukrainian metal)
